Sarah Dawes has worked passionately in the hairdressing industry for 26 years. She is salon director of  Jazzy D’s a friendly and forward looking hairdressing company who believe that hair is a fashion accessory and work very closely with L’oreal professionnel and Tigi to deliver the latest looks. One highlight of her career was where she flew to the L'oreal Manchester academy and was trained by celebrity hairdresser Trevor Sorbie OBE in the latest looks for Autumn/Winter.  Another high point was when she worked at a spring/summer photoshoot for Marie Claire magazine where she designed the colour for channel 4’s 10 years younger hairstylist Andrew Barton..(see picture of sarah between 2007 british hairdresser of the year Andrew Barton and 2008 winner Angelo Seminara from Trevor Sorbie). She also did the colour for a Prima photoshoot in this year too!

Sarah is an educator for L’oreal professionnel in salons and previously at the  International Academy in London where she delivers training on every aspect of hairdressing including the ‘colour specialist degree’. In the academy Sarah teaches alongside some of  the greatest names in British Hairdressing..

Previously Sarah worked in London for Charles Worthington and in Cambridge for the late John Oliver, both men were contributory to her extremely high standards of cutting. She has attended hundreds of courses  and seminars over the years from many top names including Nicky Clarke, Trevor Sorbie, Aidee Phelan and Paul Merrit (from channel 4’s show ‘The Salon’), Patrick Cameron, and Andrew Barton. She has attended a year long course in London called 'the Fantastic Salon' and  another year long course in London called 'the ambassador programme' . She is currently studying for a BA (hons) degree in Business Management.

Sarah’s ongoing commitment to personal development ensures that her team at Jazzy d’s  receive the latest training on the latest looks and techniques. This philosophy is key to Jazzy D’s and Sarah feels confident that she can offer an exciting and varied Training Program, ensuring that her team have a superb training base to set them up for life in the wonderful career of hairdressing.
